Here was me thinking I wouldn’t reach much in November because I would be participating in NaNoWriMo… Well it’s safe to say I was not able to complete NaNoWriMo because the books this month had a total chokehold on me! I could not stop reading. That being said, despite everything I read, I still was unable to complete my TBR because so many other books ended up calling my name in a way I couldn’t refuse… so let’s have a look!
In November, I read 11 books which meant I technically read ‘my whole TBR’, as there was only 9 books on my TBR this month… but I actually didn’t manage to read all the books actually on the TBR.

Reading Stats
Lowest Rating: 3 Stars (War Storm)
Highest Rating: 5 Stars (Vows & Ruins and One Dark Window)
Biggest Surprise
The Unmaking of June Farrow by Adrienne Young. I would never have picked this book for myself, but I joined a book club and this was November’s pick and I loved it.
But also War Storm by Victoria Aveyard. I hoped to love the final book in this series, but sadly I really didn’t.
Favourite Read
I had an easier time picking this month: One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig
Format Stats
| Audiobook: 0 | Kindle: 8 |
| Paperback: 2 | Hardback: 1 |
I think I am falling more in love with the convience of reading on my kindle! A lot of the books I read this month I own a physical copy of, but either due to reading them at work or them being available through Kindle Unlimited meant that once again I read a lot on my kindle!
Total Pages Read of Completed Books
Total: 5,030 Pages
I thought I would specify that this stat is not actually all the pages I read, but rather only the books I completed in the month. But hey, we crossed the 5,000 pages mark in one month! I’m genuinely so impressed! I think at the end of the year I will see how many pages I read across the completed books all year because I think I will be pleasently surprised again…
Genre Breakdown

I am more surprised this month to see that Young Adult was the most read! That being said, I think that is because I reread Lightlark this month which gave YA an additional number. I’m still very much in my Fantasy and Romance era, but it’s fun to see some additional genres creeping in there!
I have been enjoying exploring some additional genres – and I’m grateful that I joined a book club where the poll for the month does include books of genre’s I don’t gravitate towards normally!
New Authors
Charissa Weaks
Kaylie Smith
Adrienne Young
Rachel Gillig
I enjoyed the works written by all of the new authors! I’m excited to dive into some more by them!
How was the month?
November was a crazy month! I had a lot going on in my personal life that was messing with my brain and so I put NaNoWriMo to the side and really focussed on reading. Essentially any free time I had was taken up by reading – and with work the way it has been, I’ve been grateful for the escape to my fantasy worlds when I get home!
I joined a book club on Fable that is run by a BookTok couple I follow – Cody & James, and their November poll winner was The Unmaking of June Farrow. Now I joined the club early in November but couldn’t decide if I wanted to even read this book, but ultimately I decided I wanted to and now I trust Cody & James with the future polls and the members of the club with the winner, because whilst I wouldn’t have picked this up for myself I devoured it and loved it.
