Welcome back to battle of the books. For 2026 I’ll be doing the same thing, to keep track of the books here! But there won’t be any mid month battle.

However, as always, this doesn’t reflect my favourite of the year or even necessarily my favourite of the month once we reach the end of December as my opinions change throughout the year, and there could well be some months where I read nothing but excellent books and they all chop and change for the best of the month for me…

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ How much fun is Dungeon Crawler Carl?! If you’ve read it then you already know the answer. If you haven’t well think video game mixed with table top rpg in real life. That may honestly mean nothing to you, but again if it does that should have you hyped enough to pick this one up! May check in! I actually had to take a break from scheduling posts for Boys of Tommen because Redeeming 6 broke me, and after Keeping 13 I didn’t think it could get much worse. But it did. I quite simply love Joey and Aoife’s story. Are they the best for each other at all times? No. But are they the best for each other? I think so, yes. And I am absolutely here for further Joey growth.
