I personally felt like there were a lot of bigger, chunky books on my March TBR… and unsurprisingly I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what to read and almost always avoiding the really chunky ones on the list… Which only, naturally means that they’ll be on my TBR for longer! Regardless, I still made it through March with some good reads! Not all were great hits, but there were a few surprises along the way!

So here are the books I read in March:

I am really pleased with what I read in March – even if I did have a couple of my typical reading times taken from my schedule by family emergencies, days to celebrate Mother and general tiredness.
I was reading The Book of Azrael at the end of March, and had managed 332 pages before April appeared. So, those pages are included in the below stats!

Book Bracket Entry – Favourite Book of the Month

fifty fifty by steve cavanagh
I am utterly convinced that Cavanagh is a master of his craft. Fifty Fifty had me on the edge of my seat, and had my Amateur Detective Wannabe Brain going crazy trying to piece it all together. I thought Thirteen was going to be tough to beat, and whilst I think it will be my favourite because it got me into this genre… I fully expect (high expectations!) for each book to just get better and better now…
The Rebel Witch rounded out The Crimson Moth duology, brilliantly. It was a little predictable (which is why Fifty Fifty is the BoM rather than The Rebel Witch) but I still loved every moment. I am so glad I decided to pick up this duology!

Biggest Surprise of the Month
Heir of fire by sarah j. maas
This was the book that ended my journey with SJM previously – back when the books first released. And I was more than a little nervous about trying this one again for the worry that I’d give up again and disappoint the people that were excited for me to get to it! I’m so, so glad that I gave it a shot and enjoyed it as much as I did! And the ending itself! Massive surprise! Jaw on the damn ground, I was so shocked.

General reflection
March hasn’t been an easy month – following on from February just means it hasn’t been the easiest start to the year full stop. But I am so glad that my enjoyment of reading hasn’t gone. I’ve been more upset over the fact I haven’t been around to read and I’ve not even remotely come close to feeling like reading is a chore and I want to stop. It just futhers my belief that if you’ve got the right books then you’ll have a good time even if externally things are hard.
Review Dates
Most of March’s book reviews are already available! Which is great, because I really do want to try and have the majority of the reviews published in the month they’re read! I did move to posting reviews 4 times a week for this to happen, but I have no problem with that as long the book reviews are there to post! I’ll drop back down to the 3 times a week if it’s required, but for now! More reviews!
