I have got some very much needed time off coming up in April! Totalling 10 days off work (weekends included) and it’s the longest I have ever had off work since being at my current place of employment. I am very much excited for this break – and as such I’m doing another ‘free reign’ month! I haven’t yet decided if I want to do a 24 hour reading challenge over two of the days or not yet, but there are some books coming out at the end of March and early April that I certainly want to read as soon as I get my hands on them!
Last time I did a ‘free reign’ month, I chose two prompts and then did my digital take down book – this time, I will only be doing my two prompts and then the rest I will have free reign over!
So, first things first…

Gothikana by RuNyx – Kindle Read
Gothikana started out really slow, and even when things started picking up I found that I still had no interest in picking it up. I’m only about 10% in to it, and I’ve put it down temporarily. I’m hoping to pick it back up, but if I find that I have no desire to do so in the next week or so I’ll probably soft DNF this for now, and try it again later.
Servant of Earth by Sarah Hawley – Kindle Read (Kindle Unlimited)
I’m only a chapter into this, but I’m really excited to continue it because I have heard nothing but good things about this book!! So far I’ve met Kenna, and explored the bog with her a bit – that tells you how little I have read, I’m sure! This has been on my radar a few times, and it was chosen as a book club pick in February that I didn’t get round to, even though I have been dying to!

I only have one at the time of picking the prompt (I believe April will bring me another Owlcrate Romantasy) and so not much choice in this one! So, I’ll be reading The Wolf and the Crown of Blood by Elizabeth May
2. From Andy’s Shelves: Use a random number generator to pick a number between 1 and 50, count the books on his shelf (skipping read or DNF’d) and read what you land on!
Andy always gets really excited when I read anything on his shelves! So, there are a few different prompts in the jar that will get me looking at his shelves. However this one gives me no choice in the matter! So, we got our randomly generated number – 18 – and got counting. We landed on Trudi Canavan’s The Magican’s Guild trilogy, and so I will be reading The Magician’s Guild in April!
Digital TBR Take Down
As mentioned, I’m not doing a digital takedown book this month! Mostly because there are a number of books I really want to pick up that are on my digital TBR so there is already a good chance that I will read a few of those without the assistance of the wheel!
