What are the ‘Read in’ pages?
I have always liked being able to look at one location and see what I read in that year or month. Whilst I ran The Reading Pile, I used ‘Read in’ pages to do this and I did them by months at first – but as the blog kept going that meant there were a lot of pages and it was no longer ‘at a glance’ and so I switched to years.
This is how I’ve done it ever since, whether through Goodreads, in my bullet journal or as now, on my blog. To keep these pages useful for you all too, each title is also a link to the review on the blog!
How do they work?
As mentioned, each title is also a link to the review post (once it goes live). But this also allows a very quick glance at some information about the book. Like below:
Title by Author – Series placement / if blank it’s a Standalone (re-read or comfort re-read)
By looking at this list you can easily know whether to expect a review or not – if it says comfort re-read in the final brackets, then a review will not be posted on the blog. And you can follow my progress in series’ if there is a title and # following the author.
This also allows me – later if I choose – to add more information to this page so it really becomes an at a glance information page, such as whether it’s available on KU, or a link to it’s amazon page / waterstones page. I have no intentions at the moment of including links for you to buy the book, but the option is there.
