I am not quite back in a position to be picking up my physical reads, so I am still kind of doing a mood reading month on my kindle. However, given that my physical TBR is still growing while I’m not able to read any, I am going to priortise kindle books that I have a physical copy of. This way I can cross off two birds, with one read. There will be a handful of new releases that are coming out in August too and end of July, so I may also try and read a few of those if I get them on kindle!
As always with mood reading, and in reality any set TBR, what I say here may not actually happen due to my mood changing. Pretty self explanatory, but I’m stating it so I don’t feel bad for not reading the full TBR. But this is what I’m looking at!

Rider of Dragons by A.T. Qureshi – Kindle – eARC
I made the decision in July to get caught up on The Baby Dragon series before I read Rider of Dragons, just in case there were spoilers for that series in the romantasy series… However, because I struggled a little more with that series than I anticipated, it meant that I didn’t get to Rider of Dragons (nor feel the desire to read it all the time) as early as I had thought. I’m about half way through though! So, hopefully early August I’ll finish this one!
Starside by Alex Aster – Audiobook
I am desperate to read this one, but I don’t have the kindle book and for some reason I haven’t been able to focus on the audiobook even less than I have been able to read the written word. But I am hoping that with improvements to my situation I may be able to focus more on this audiobook in August!
Heir of Illusion by Madeline Taylor – Kindle
I paused reading Heir of Illusion because I got To Dance with Death and was desperate to read that. Then I went back to Heir of Illusion and realised that I was forcing myself to read it, through no fault of the book, just because of the mood I was in. So I put it on pause, and I’m hoping to pick it back up early August!
Onto the main TBR
As mentioned, I probably want to try and focus on the ebooks I have purchased of a physical book I own… I do this often in the sales because I know I fluctuate between wanting to read a physical book and a kindle book (and not to mention I don’t like taking physical books out of my house!). So in order to feel like I am still making progress on my physical TBR I am hoping to get a number of the below read…
I have picked out 12 books on my kindle that I have the physical copy of and figured that I can pick and choose quite freely between them and the umpteen other books on my kindle that I also own the physical copy of! August’s Kindle deals has also resulted in me picking up a couple of books I own physically (Atmosphere and The Poet Empress being the big two!) so I am likely to drift from this list!
